Ferry terminal wedges into the visual relations between the shores of the Curonian
lagoon. The roof terrace displays the surroundings. The panoramic windows in the
interior frame the other shore and movement of ships. These elements form an
emotional link with the crossing process and its destination – Smiltynė. The terminal
is also observable. The outside communicates the forms of ships and the open
framework of the tower, inspired by traditional ship navigation towers, forms a
sign for a place
