About: The architecture was inspired by the wish to face the
Neris river passing near-by and an aspiration to gain
privacy in the main space by retracting the main volume.
The retractions are repeated in the main terrace, a
couple of entrances, the car-shed and they also cover
the spaces from sunlight as well as rain and snow. The
house has a central planning structure – the parent and
children zones are separated and centered around the
main space. The house is placed on the hill-side in order
to reinforce its sculptural impression, this solution also
improves the views form the main living spaces.
