About: Two storey shopping center with underground parking
lot was designed in the new district of Astana city,
surrounded by residential apartment buildings.
Building technological layout called for few big spaces
in the building on a narrow site. The building is
architecturally "compressed" at the ground level.
Highligted facafes of main entrances are directed both
to the apartment blocks and the district central street.
This provides building a "gate" impression and ability for
pedestrians to migrate across it as well as ability for the
shopping center to become part of public space.
