About: LMTA campus is compactly packed next to the existing
schools in order to maximally open the parterre of Stalo
hill while clearly outlining the border between THE HILL
and THE CITY.
We claim LMTA is primarily a community. Main spatial
element that boosts consolidation and sense of security
within the community is YARD. We arrange separate,
but linked faculty buildings around the central Yard
while turning visitor spaces towards the Hill.
We chose the principle of simple non-dominant volumes
and soft tapered spaces between them as a principle
that is common to the Vilnius old-town.
