About: The planning process of the building was inspired by the
necessity to give the area completely new urban,
functional, and architectural meanings. The architectural
structure gives the building much more significance than
the infrastructure only – it becomes one of the ‘signs’ of
Kaunas. The main façade of the building appears notably
remarkable for its console part – a large roofing that
parallels the Vytautas Av. and has a roof ark with clocks
on both sides emphasizing access to the Bus Station
passage and together with the preserved old red brick
Station building create a cozy public space.
