About: Birštonas Observation Tower is built on the Škėvonių
ridge at an altitude of 45 m., so its visitors can have the
full view of river Nemunas Regional Park. The
shape of the tower is an allusion to the defensive
fortifications of Nemunas, which have disappeared
in the past and only remain in the imagination. Maybe
for some, the tower will remind you of a bell tower or
roof pillar, the cosmological symbol of the World Tree.
The triangles of white metal structures unveiled on the
facade are accompanied by visitors who rise like the
stars of the Milky Way.
