Can a park revitalize a large-scale housing estate? Oaks
Grove Park in Klaipėda, a corner of nature surrounded
by apartment buildings, was adapted to the needs of all
residents - sports spaces for teenagers, children´s
playgrounds, fitness areas, various recreation islands by
the water and in the forest under the oaks appeared in
it. The park spaces are connected by a circular path for
walking and active leisure.
Oak Grove Park together with Vaidila Square are
examples of how old Soviet micro-districts and their
public spaces can acquire a modern and cozy face.
