About: The building looking directly at the sculptural egg of the
Vilnius basilisk, was completely collapsed and only the
street facade remained. Although the existing buildings
were not heritage protected, we have preserved every
interesting fragment of the masonry and, by combining
old and new in the courtyard space, we have obtained an
interesting combination that reflects both the poetry of
the old city and the vigor of the new. Through
polychromatic research, we found a color rarely seen on
the street facades of Vilnius — ash gray, which we are
returning to the face of the building.
