About: YAUYA - a sauna made of wooden logs, built according
to old traditions. A wide seating platform directs the
participants´ attention to the real heart of the sauna -
the wood-burning stove. Small windows of elongated
format create a safe interior space and at the same time
open up the outdoor panorama. The facades and roof of
sauna are burnt wood.
YAUYA covers the themes of intangible heritage of
Lithuanian traditions, community and ecology.
